Cobar Water treatment plant refurbishment works

Scope:

To upgrade Council ageing infrastructure & to make areas of the WTP compliant to safety standards, including:

- Cleaning of existing dosing system areas;

- Custom fabricated aluminium sheets to seal off an protect existing assets and fall from heights areas;

- Modification of existing handrails;

- Blast and paint existing structural stairs and beams.

Challenges:

Modification to a brownfields treatment plant. 

Outcome:

The proposed works were completed well before program completion dates with no safety incidents. This was brought about by high collaboration with Council and NSW state government stakeholders.
