Scope of Works:

• Design new ladders & platforms to meet HWC standards 
• Remove existing ladders & platforms as design no longer met compliance 
• Fabricate & install new platform ladder

Challenges:

• High risk work including interaction with cranage and EWP
• Design consideration and site surveying had to align with original mounting tabs for the new platform to connect to the silo
• Removing old platform ladder and install new ladder & platform with minimal disruption to operators onsite
• Quick turnaround of fabrication, painting, and installation to meet project deadlines

Outcome:

• Removal of old platform & installation of new platform ladder completed without any incidents or modifications to ladder or silo
• Successful collaboration between design team and fabricators with finished product meeting all standards and quality requirements 
• Works completed before deadline saving costings on the project
